As with most business ventures, Blesta originated out of a perceived need. Commercial billing software has been largely clunky, inefficient, and insecure. Blesta aims to improve productivity and increase efficiency in the web hosting market while at the same time providing unparalleled support to developers and users.
Blesta is a product of Phillips Data, Inc., started in December of 2000 and incorporated in 2008. The company has a background in web hosting and has shifted significantly toward software development in recent years.
